Air barriers and vapour retarders: two different jobs

• Ask the designer to identify the air, vapour and rain-control layers.
• Request details showing their connections at openings, floors and roof edges.
• Check that product data supports each layer’s intended job.
• Ask how the complete assembly will dry in both heating and cooling seasons.
• Include ventilation, combustion-safety checks and completion evidence in the scope.
